The dissonance of chaos
Fed by the edges of post-industrial electronics and the tensions of electroacoustic experimentation, the french artist Aesthesis delivers with Spellbound — her debut EP released on Paris-based label Unse — a gripping diptych where analog matter, dissonance, and abstract pulses collide.
The producer, live performer, and Lyl Radio resident shapes a sonic landscape that evokes both textured darkness and an inner exploration of a crumbling world. Between raw impact and ghostly resonance, Spellbound defies conventional formats and asserts a vision that is at once opaque, precise, and viscerally contemporary.

Crashing into sonic explosions, punctuated by cosmic oddities and wisps of ethereal voices, Spellbound draws us into a kind of haunted chaos — a disordered realm where every pattern is meticulously crafted to explore the depths of our psyche.
A sonic humidity seems to rise from the ground, somewhere between swampy atmosphere and an abandoned experimental station. On the track Inner Frequencies, Aesthesis conjures a disturbing organic substance: floating voice fragments, the chants of mechanical amphibians, and shattered percussions that strike like impacts in mud. The rhythm, initially faltering, gradually asserts a brutal order — as if chaos were now governed by a cracked hourglass. In the final section of the piece, intensity reaches its peak through repetitive sequences of collisions and reverberated cries that resemble ghostly mammal screams, as the remains of an ancient fear. The result is rawer, more visceral, and strikingly cinematic: Aesthesis channels her themes with relentless intensity.
Echoes of the Rift mirrors the first movement. Here, the impacts have become memories: crackles, glitches, flickering electronics. A fragile calm veils the remaining tension, like a synthetic forest bathed in faint LED glows. Each rhythmic pattern seems to remember a collapse, trembling again at irregular intervals.

Spellbound leans into industrial trance — a powerful, phantom-like inner journey. A short yet dense EP that explores the porous edges between chaos and control, instinct and structure. Aesthesis probes the invisible with precision tools, reaching into something deeply buried.
